GIRL SCOUT PROGRAMS

All Girl Scout programs include a special tour of the Susan B. Anthony House, uniquely designed for each program, along with activities in the Carriage House. The Susan B. Anthony House is located at 17 Madison Street. Programs begin in the Visitors Center, at 19 Madison Street.

Registration deadlines are one week prior to each event; however, programs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. So make your reservations early by calling 585-235-6124 ext. 19 or by mailing your registration form today!
(A 50% non-refundable deposit is required.)

INSPIRATION EXPRESS

JUNIOR GIRL SCOUTS:
Inspiration Express: Pathway to Service: Travel back in time and explore the world of Susan B. Anthony! What was important to her? As a woman who worked for equal rights, how did she improve things for all people? Using skits, mock demonstrations, and brainstorming, find out how you can become involved in your community! Community Resources Packet included.

This program is appropriate for ALL Junior Girl Scouts, and is designed to inspire them to go for their Girl Scout Bronze Award. It satisfies 2 hours toward the Junior Girl Scout Leadership Award, or #1 and #7 of the Junior Girl Scout Local Lore badge.

Fee: $7 per person. Minimum/Maximum: 9 / 30

OLDER GIRL SCOUTS (11-14):
Inspiration Express: Capture the Passion! Earn 2 of your Silver 4Bs while you “Believe” and “Build” your passion for improving your community! Let Susan B. Anthony inspire you! Learn about her passions and leadership style and find your own! Brainstorm current issues that affect your community or school. Act out the differences among passive, assertive, and aggressive strategies. In small groups, create an imagined strategy for one of these contemporary issues and demonstrate that you, too, can build a better world! Community Resources Packet included.

This program is appropriate for ALL Older Girl Scouts (11-14), and is designed to inspire them to go for their Girl Scout Silver Award. It satisfies 2 Bs of the Girl Scout Silver 4Bs Challenge - "Believe" and "Build," or Skill Builder #6 of the Women Through Time Interest Patch.

Fee: $7 per person. Minimum/Maximum: 6 / 30

SENIOR GIRL SCOUTS
Inspiration Express: The Power Within: Earn 2 of your Gold 4Bs — "Believe" and "Build!" Groups will draw upon Susan B. Anthony’s courage and commitment to voting and human rights reform to create their own action outline for meaningful service today. Girl Scouts will identify relevant issues, prioritize these issues, and discover strategies to address them. Move us to join your group's cause! Sway us with your ideas, slogans, speeches, and visual effects! Resolve that you, too, can be a leader in addressing lasting change. Community Resources Packet included.

This program is designed to inspire Senior Girl Scouts considering their Girl Scout Gold Award and for others preparing for a lifetime of meaningful community service. It satisfies 2 Bs of the Girl Scout Gold 4 Bs Challenge – “Believe” and “Build."

SUSAN B. ANTHONY PATCH PROGRAM
AT THE SUSAN B. ANTHONY HOUSE

The Susan B. Anthony Patch Program was created as a Girl Scouts of Genesee Valley Gold Award Project by Mairi Ellen Quodomine. It is designed to inform Girl Scouts (Juniors - Seniors) about the life and work of Susan B. Anthony and the women's movement, in general.

Earn the complete Patch in Susan B. Anthony's home! Enjoy a special tour, visit her statue in the nearby park, and be awed by the architecture in this wonderfully restored 19th century neighborhood. Then journey back in time for fun activities in the Carriage House. Programs are hands-on, interactive, and age appropriate. Susan B. Anthony Patch included.
